    HOLLOW TOWNTHE FLESH RECALIBRATION

Silesia, 2036. The Metabolic Lattice decided humanity was inefficient and began to recalibrate it. You are a Biomass Auditor for the Bureau of Soil & Strain — a contractor with a quota. Meet it, recover what the Bureau lost, burn the spore nodes, restart the district and get out. Co-op for up to 20; the lobby lives on the host's device.

    Bestiary

Silt-Leechcommon · everywhereSlithers fast across open ground, lunges when close, leaves a slime trail you can follow — or that follows you. Shoot it before it reaches your legs.
Suture-Houndpacks of 3–6A feral wolf stitched back together. Hunts the wounded. Weak at the seams.
Resonant"the Human Deer"Stands perfectly still while you watch it from afar. Up close it keeps walking at you, slowly, even under your stare — look away and it runs. It strikes on a steady beat.
Bone-Graft Apexthe Biome's immune responseRoars once, then charges in straight lines. Make it ram a wall: it staggers.
The Fleshthe wilds only · rarelyA hill of meat on clawed arms and spider legs: a skull grown into its chest over a maw of fangs, dozens of slit eyes that blink and follow you, side mouths on necks that shoot out and bite, faces that scream. It comes for whoever strays furthest — weaving, freezing, then rushing. It never enters the town. Run for the streets.
FeralsAntler-Wretch · Bin-Gnawer · Tree-Rat · Carrion HawkThe wildlife, recalibrated. The tame ones flee and are good meat; the mangy, raw ones attack.
Spore nodesbog, bone gardensPulsing pods. Burn or shoot them out for biomass.

Biomass: everything you kill pays some. Deposit it at the Bureau terminal for the quota — or drop it (Tab) for a teammate.

    Survival notes

    • The safe house. You wake in the camp: nothing hunts you inside it, and nothing is born near it. Rest there.
    • Falling hurts. From about two metres up. Roll (Alt) just before you land to take half.
    • Search everything. Cabinets, nightstands, crates, ammo boxes and cardboard boxes hold ammunition, food, medicine — and now and then a gun.
    • Weapon crates stand at Bureau checkpoints, in warehouses and behind roller shutters (fix the fuse box, give it power).
    • Power. A generator needs fuel; run copper wire (V) from it to a work light, a fuse box or a street circuit.
    • Fuel sits in wrecks and drums — siphon it with a hose into bottles, canisters, jerrycans.
    • Torn walls and windows are ways in. Walk into a window to climb through it.
    • Smoke blinds them. Fire makes them panic.
    • Heavy things are carried low and slow — you can't shoot with your hands full.

    — The Bureau protects. The Bureau provides.
